Cowley Manor... What can I say... If there was ever a venue to smash it out of the park with, it's this one.
3rd September 2022 saw me shoot Katie and Chris' super special day with all 200+ guests. To say it was a blast from start to finish would be an understatement, the bride and groom were a dream. Relaxed, fun and adventurous. My kinda people!
The day started and finished at the exclusive manor in the idyllic Cotswolds - Cowley Manor (with a minor detour to St Mary's church but that's only a 30 second walk from door to door). It's a building where quirky meets grand on a level of brilliant opulence. It boasts character and charm whilst being set in the most beautiful estate with a scenic feature lake at the rear.
The rest was just simply a good time had by all. Emotions flowed, the music banged and we all had one hell of a day in the name of C & K. I always bang on about this so bear with me here... I think it's so important for the bride and groom to get away from the crowd and noise for at least a moment or two during the day. I always bring this out when we go for the couple piccys. At Cowley, it was a moment to reflect on what a top wedding they were having, a moment to enjoy just each others company all while we have some fun with the camera. We took a little walk around the lake and to some top secret spots in the grounds. Spots which required some open mindedness for sure as Katie even went shoes off into some mossy water!
This walk also included Cowley Manor's epic spa and swimming pool. What a spot! The challenge of getting the right picture was real but we smashed it. The humidity in there gave us all of about 1 second to get a picture before having to wipe the lens and go again. It worked out so well though and nobody fell in - bonus points for that right?
The day turned into evening which brought the first dance. Katie and Chris went big even throwing a lift into the routine... The rest was history!
If you were to pick the perfect example of a Cotswold wedding... This would be it. 10/10 gang.
