There are very few places with the summer vibes that Oxleaze brings. Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, Oxleaze Barn is a rustic gem. Think exposed beams, beautiful lighting, cozy vibes, and breathtaking views. Literally the perfect setting for Harrie and Mike's special day.
Bridal prep started with pure hysterical laughter as bridesmaid Jo brought an old friend from the hen party. Affectionately known as "blow up Mike", he set the mood for the rest of the morning. What an amazing group! We had the cottage located at Oxleaze Barn which provides so much space and light - both of which are super important during bridal prep. In fact, having a light and open room for prep won't just get you amazing piccies, it will just elevate the entire morning's mood and atmosphere.
Mike & Harrie's ceremony took place at the beautiful St Mary's church in Fairford which has to be one of my all time favourites. After an intimate ceremony in the grandest of settings, they were treated to the full military guard of honour with bagpipes. Absolute scenes!
In fact, I think it's safe to say this day was unique from start to finish. I love a wedding with a unique touch and these two absolutely nailed the brief. From cake cutting to first dance this one had it all. Back at Oxleaze for the evening we went straight into cake cutting which was with nothing other than a sword... Forget the casual knife when you have a sword at your disposal! As we went into the evening we snuck off for a few portraits with help from our pro floofer, Jo. It's sometimes a great idea to bring a bridesmaid along to carry the bouquet, fix the dress, hold the drinks etc. After having so many good laughs and a moment away from the crowd, we went back for a party and this came in the form of a Cèilidh! Obviously, I couldn't resist getting in the mix which was hilarious! Learning the various dances was so tough and with the dance floor stacked, I was bumping my way through but getting some absolute snaps!
Thank you Mike & Harrie, you two were the absolute greatest!
